(RED DEER, AB) – The Outreach Centre is thrilled to announce the return of its annual Holiday Hope campaign, which aims to bring joy, comfort and support to families in need during the holiday season. With exciting events and opportunities to give, the community is invited to make a meaningful impact.
Day of Holiday Hope – November 15
Tune in to Big 105.5 and 106.7 Rewind Radio for A Day of Holiday Hope on November 15, where we’ll broadcast live throughout the day, sharing powerful stories from our staff and those who have benefited from our programs and services. The A Day of Holiday Hope is an event focused on raising awareness about the pressing needs within the community, particularly during the holiday season.
Adopt a Family
Returning this year is the Adopt a Family program, which anonymously matches sponsors with single parent families who require extra help to provide for their family. Using donated funds, The Outreach Centre provides gift cards to families in central Alberta, empowering parents and caregivers to purchase the gifts or food that they know they need for their families. Last year, 708 clients were served through our Adopt a Family program.
Lip Sync Battle
The 9th Annual Lip Sync Battle will take place at Bo’s Bar & Stage on November 28 & December 12. Performers will take the stage in a fierce yet fun competition to raise funds for The Outreach Centre. Tickets for both shows will be available on November 4 at 10:00 a.m. New this year was the addition of the Virtual Lip Sync Battle, which allowed performers to participate without the pressure of the main stage. The winner of the Virtual Lip Sync Battle will be featured at the live shows.
“Funds raised through the Holiday Hope Campaign will allow The Outreach Centre to meet the increasing needs of our community”, says Ian Wheeliker, Executive Director of The Outreach Centre.” As more families face financial and emotional challenges, the support we provide becomes even more essential. These funds will ensure that we can continue to offer critical services and programs that bring stability and hope to those who need it most, especially during the holiday season.”
