In 2023, the RCMP will mark 150 years of service to the public and security of our country. To celebrate the occasion, a Regimental Dining In will take place on Monday, January 23 at the Red Deer Resort & Casino.

The event includes dinner and a silent auction. In attendance will be special guest General Rick Hillier (Retd), one of Canada’s Top 5 Speakers. Former Chief of Defense Staff of Canada, General Hillier oversaw Canada’s most important mission in Afghanistan. General Hillier was the Chair of the Ontario Covid-19 Task Force, and currently serves as the Chair of the Ukrainian World Congress’ Strategic Advisory Council.

“It is an honour to support The Outreach Centre in this manner as we also celebrate RCMP’s 150th anniversary,” says Supt. Holly Glassford. “As we serve our community, we see the incredible value The Outreach Centre provides to our most vulnerable.”

Proceeds from this event will go towards the programs and services offered at The Outreach Centre in Red Deer. The Outreach Centre serves individuals and families across central Alberta, supporting them in their pursuit of healthy relationships, mental health wellbeing, housing stability and self-sufficiency.

“I have had the pleasure of working with RCMP and in particular the Red Deer Detachment for the past fifteen years”, says Ian Wheeliker, Executive Director of The Outreach Centre. ”The RCMP have played a central role in the coordinated response to domestic violence. Their dedication and commitment to public safety and community partnerships is very much appreciated. Congratulations to the RCMP on your 150 Anniversary and I look forward to seeing you all at the Dining In event.”
